Thank You for Celebrating Spring with Us!

Our Spring Celebration was a beautiful success!

This year’s Spring Celebration was truly something special — and it was all thanks to YOU, our incredible community of supporters, volunteers, neighbors, and friends.

On a beautiful Tuesday evening, our Groundswell Event Space was filled with energy, conversation, and connection as guests came together to learn more about the mission and programs of Matthew 25. From the moment doors opened, it was clear that people weren’t just attending an event — they were investing in the vision of a stronger, more vibrant Cedar Rapids.

Guests explored interactive stations highlighting our work in affordable housing, community building, healthy food access, and education. Many were surprised by the scope of our programs and walked away with a deeper understanding of how Matthew 25 collaborates with neighbors to transform lives and neighborhoods.

The evening also featured delicious refreshments from Groundswell Cafe, Cultivate Hope Corner Store and our Youth Development Program, engaging conversations, and guided tours of our Tool Library and new housing projects. Attendees heard firsthand from staff and volunteers about the impact we’re making together — whether it’s through building Net Zero homes, hosting Food Camps for kids, or supporting families through initiatives like Good Meals To Go and our Corner Store.

But more than anything, the event was a celebration of what’s possible when people come together with a shared purpose. As one guest put it, “I knew you did a lot — but seeing it all in one place really opened my eyes.”

As we look ahead to the rest of 2025, we’re excited to keep growing together, rooted in hope and powered by community.
