Summer Food Camps

Kids get to play with their food at Cultivate Hope Food Camps!

Every summer, we host camps for grades K-12 at the Cultivate Hope Urban Farm, where kids get hands-on experience learning how produce is grown and how it turns into the meals and snacks they eat every day.

Our Food Camps start with the basics for the younger campers, from learning the parts of a plant to different types of vegetables. They also use produce from the farm to make and taste healthy snacks. For the older kids, we build on this knowledge by incorporating field trips and cooking meals with produce they harvest from the Urban Farm.

No matter their age, each child learns more about how food gets to their plate!

“My kids really enjoyed the camp last year. They loved that they were able to sample vegetables they had not had the chance to try yet.”
