Matthew 25 Goes Solar: A Bright Step Toward Sustainability
The long-awaited switch to solar power is now official, and we've taken a giant leap for a greener future.
The week of November 11th was a big one for our team as we celebrated putting solar panels on the roof of our office! We were all very excited as we saw the smooth, shiny panels go up because we knew they were a big step toward our goal of being environmentally friendly.
We’ve been supporting projects that help our community for years, but this felt like a very important moment. We’re excited about lowering our power bills, but solar energy is more than that. As a long-term investment in our world, we want to lower our carbon footprint and show others in our community how to do the same.
Going solar has perks that go far beyond our office. Our use of fossil fuels and greenhouse gas emissions are going down because we’re using more solar power. This directly makes the world healthier for future generations. Solar energy can be used over and over, is plentiful, and will last for a long time. This is great news for organizations that want to run in an environmentally friendly way.
We made the choice based on more than just numbers. It had to do with the values of our organization. Every kilowatt-hour of energy we make makes the grid less stressed and makes the future of energy more stable and self-sufficient. It also fits perfectly with our goal to protect the environment, inspire new ideas, and lead in ways that help our community.
Our solar journey has only just begun, and we’re thrilled to share it with you. Together, we can make sustainable energy a cornerstone of our shared future!
