Food For Thought: Healthy Holiday Inspiration
Discover healthy, affordable holiday ideas that taste as good as they are good for you.

The holidays are a season of gathering, generosity, and… a whole lot of food. Between family dinners, office parties, and cookie swaps, it’s easy to feel like you have to choose between celebration and health. At the Cultivate Hope Corner Store, we believe you shouldn’t have to choose at all.
That’s why we’re hosting Food For Thought – a special event at the Cultivate Hope Corner Store on Thursday, December 11, where you can discover healthy, affordable holiday ideas that taste as good as they are good for you.

Jack’s Holiday Cooking Demonstration – 5:30 PM

At 5:30 PM, join us for a live cooking demonstration with Jack, who many of you know from Groundswell Cafe. Jack will walk you through a seasonal holiday dish you can recreate at home using ingredients available right at the Corner Store. It’s like a mini cooking class—free, fun, and open to everyone.
The Cultivate Hope Corner Store isn’t just a place to buy groceries. It’s part of Matthew 25’s mission to build stronger, healthier neighborhoods by increasing access to fresh, affordable food.
This Food For Thought event supports the Matthew 25 mission to build stronger, healthier neighbors by:
- Helping neighbors discover new ways to use what’s on our shelves
- Offering hands-on learning instead of just telling people to “eat healthier”
- Turning grocery shopping into a chance to learn, taste, and connect
- Increasing access to fresh, affordable food.
