Spring Celebration Crowd

Cultivate Hope Urban Farm was abuzz with excitement on Tuesday, April 30th, as we ushered in the spirit of spring with our much-anticipated Spring Celebration. The day couldn’t have been more perfect.

Over 125 attendees graced our event to enjoy the warm weather, delicious Groundswell Cafe food and festivities. From families to community leaders, everyone came together to revel in the joys of the season and celebrate the progress we’ve made together.

The heart of the event unfolded with our main program, where heartfelt speeches and shared moments of gratitude underscored the significance of our collective efforts. We honored our 2023 Volunteer of the Year: Susan Adams, 2023 Corporate Partner of the Year: Corridor Construction Company, and 2023 Nonprofit Partner of the Year: Neighborhood Finance Corporation.

Following the main program, guests were invited to embark on a self-guided walking tour. This immersive experience offered a firsthand glimpse into the transformative work happening within our community. From the unveiling of a newly constructed home to the freshly renovated affordable housing rental unit, each stop on the tour painted a picture of resilience and renewal.

The highlight of the evening came at 6 p.m. with a special ceremony honoring longtime Matthew 25 supporters Len and Marlene Hadley by naming the community area of the Cultivate Hope Corner Store after them. Their unwavering dedication and generosity have been instrumental in driving our mission forward, and it was only fitting to shine a spotlight on their invaluable contributions. Be sure to stop by our Corner Store to enjoy the Hadley Hangout Space.

Some of the stops on our walking tour had short video intros from Clint, so if you were not able to attend, you can check out the videos here.
