SUMMARY:Gardening Workshop: Garden Preparation
DESCRIPTION:This Gardening Workshop Series consists of six hands-on classes from April-September\, held at our Urban Farm near downtown Cedar Rapids. Each monthly session will have small class sizes for maximizing time and individualized attention. During harvests\, class participants may take home some of the produce\, and the rest will be provided to the Cultivate Hope Corner Store\, a small nonprofit grocery store with affordable groceries. \nOur monthly workshops are from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month\, April-September. \nJoin us on April 11th for our workshop on Garden Preparation. \nHere is a listing of the other workshops and topics: \n\nMay 9 :   Seeding and Planting\nJune 13 :  Crop Management\nJuly 11 :   Planning and Preparation\nAugust 8:  Soil Management\nSeptember 12:  Preservation\n\nIf you’re interested in attending\, you can sign up for just the classes that interest you most\, or for all 6 classes to get one free! \nSIGN UP FOR CLASSES

Join us at the Urban Farm for refreshments before embarking on a self-guided tour of our latest endeavors in the neighborhood! \nDuring your tour\, explore a newly constructed home\, catch up on the latest from the Cultivate Hope Corner Store\, delve into behind-the-scenes stories\, visit our charming Farmhouse Airbnb\, meet our newest additions – the chickens\, and much more! \nWrap up the evening at 6:00 pm with dessert and a special ceremony at the Cultivate Hope Corner Store\, where we’ll honor Len and Marlene Hadley.
