SUMMARY:Gardening Workshops
DESCRIPTION:This Gardening Workshop Series consists of six hands-on classes from April-September\, held at our Urban Farm near downtown Cedar Rapids. Each monthly session will have small class sizes for maximizing time and individualized attention. During harvests\, class participants may take home some of the produce\, and the rest will be provided to the Cultivate Hope Corner Store\, a small nonprofit grocery store with affordable groceries. \nOur monthly workshops are from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month\, April-September. \nHere is a breakdown of each month’s lesson themes: \n\nApril 11 :  Garden Preparation\nMay 9 :   Seeding and Planting\nJune 13 :  Crop Management\nJuly 11 :   Planning and Preparation\nAugust 8:  Soil Management\nSeptember 12:  Preservation\n\nIf you’re interested in attending\, you can sign up for just the classes that interest you most\, or for all 6 classes to get one free! \nSIGN UP FOR CLASSES
